Lewdzone earns money from some of the links on this site. This page explains exactly how, and what it does and does not affect.
The short version
Some outbound links on this site are commercial. If you follow one and go on to sign up or buy something, we may receive a payment. This costs you nothing extra.
A commercial link never buys a review score, a ranking position, or favourable coverage. Editorial judgement and commercial relationships are kept separate, and that separation is set out in our editorial policy.
How commercial links are marked
Where a link is commercial, we mark it. Sponsored articles carry a label at the top of the page identifying them as sponsored, and their links are tagged so search engines can identify them as paid placements rather than editorial endorsements.
If a link is not marked, it is not commercial.
What sponsors can and cannot buy
Can: a clearly labelled sponsored article on a subject relevant to this site, with a marked commercial link.
Cannot: a review score. A position in a ranking. The removal of criticism. Coverage presented as independent. An article on a subject unrelated to adult gaming or UK iGaming. An unmarked link.
We have declined placements on all of these grounds and we will continue to.
Gambling links specifically
Where we link to a gambling operator commercially, that operator holds a current UK Gambling Commission licence, the link is marked, and the page carries the same responsible gambling information as the rest of our gambling coverage.
We do not accept commercial arrangements from unlicensed operators, and we do not link to gambling products from pages likely to be read by anyone under 18.
Why we tell you this
Two reasons. The first is that you are entitled to know when a recommendation has money behind it. The second is that undisclosed paid links are against search engine guidelines and against UK advertising rules — and a site that hides them is a site whose reviews you should not trust either.
